WHAT IS THE BACKPACK RAMBLER?
v. rarm.ble, ram·bled, ram·bling, ram·bles
WHO IS THE BACKPACK RAMBLER?
After graduating from the University of Surrey in 2010, I spent nearly four years living in Sydney and exploring Australia where I found my passion for travel! Since then I’ve spent 3 months traveling around South East Asia including Bali, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand before ending up back in London (we’ve all got to work sometime!) I am now on a 5 month trip around Europe before emigrating to New Zealand.
WHY READ THE BACKPACK RAMBLER?
The main objective of writing “The Backpack Rambler” is to both inform and to entertain my fellow travelers and hopefully inspire “to be” travelers to finally book that plane ticket, pack their bags and go and embrace the weird and wonderful world. Life on the road can be dreamily good when you’re drinking in a breath taking beach sunset but it can also have some grim realities, like hand washing your pants in a hostel sink praying that they’ll dry in time to wear them as moths fly out of your wallet! Throughout my travels I’ve kept a log of the good, the bad and the ugly moments which I am now sharing with you.
This selection of journal entries aims to give you an overview of the numerous countries I’ve visited, with personal insights on how I conquered or survived each city to hopefully allow you to learn from my
mistakes experiences! Enjoy!
